Tuesday September 1st - Monday September 7th

7 september 2015 - Pidley, Verenigd Koninkrijk

Hello peeps! So weekly update again... Though a day too late! Woops, my bad, sorry! I guess I'll tell you a little about my week! Let's start with Tuesday since I did not really do things on Monday. (Apart from sleeping and eating, go Meike!)

So Tuesday I went to College to get everything settled and sorted out. As you may know, I was applying for Music Level 2. They first took us to take a test in maths and English. I tried not to laugh at the difficulty of the questions. This is an example out of the English test: Susie her tea party at the VIctoria Hotel is from 3 to 5. You don't need to bring a gift, just a card. -- When does Susie's tea party end? Well, everyone with eyes can answer that correctly, am I right? (Im actually not, because illiterates and blind people cant... ) Anyways, I did not have the highest score. I'm guessing the tea party did not end at 5. Susie you big fat liar!

Continuing, After successfully sorting things out at college, I got in by the way: Music level 3, I was meeting Vivien (yaay) in Huntingdon to go shopping. ( note to Viv: IM SO SORRY I WAS LATE <3) Shopping basically consisted of: eating, walking back and forth because we had no clue about what was where, more eating, actually buying stuff (including food, ha!) and of course taking pics. Pictures can be seen in the gallery if anyone's interested :)

Going on with Wednesday, we went to Cambridge. And by we I mean Kayleigh, Andrea, Claudio, Ugo, Karyssa and me. We went there to go to the cinema and watch Paper Towns. I might be wrong, but I think I'm the only one who thought it was a pretty great film. Go watch it!                                                                                 After the film, we ate (I mean when don't I) and had lots of fun in Cambridge before catching the bus back home again. I had a great day guys! xx

Thursday was a lazy day again. I honestly felt a bit homesick because I did not have people around me to keep me company. You know me, social butterfly ;);). In the end it was alright though because my guitar arrived via the post that day! (AAAAH!!!) That basically got me motivated to play with music software on my pc. Its so fun to work with! A real challenge to figure everything out though, but I think that is just what I need. It's something to keep me busy :)

Friday, I overslept... I had to catch the bus at 12:26 to St. Ives. Guess who woke up at 12 and realised that she missed her alarm? That's right; me, myself and I. So I rushed out of my room, showered, bumped into Rob (who laughed at my face, thank you very much), got dressed, grabbed an apple and I was on the way! And guess again, oh thats right! I did NOT miss the bus. (gooo Meike!)

I had a great day once again with Vivien. I almost got my ear pierced but shit my pants at the thought. Lets just wait a little longer... :D Anyways, I met the lovely (and crazy <3) family Vivien's staying with + the dog, baby dragon and bunny.

In the evening we had a get-together with EF students in the region at the social club in Pidley. It was great to see every one again!

Saturday, I had a lazy day again. Got to have them once in a while right? Or in my case once in two days. So much for Saturday really.

On Sunday, we had afternoon tea with Bessma's family. There was cake. I love cake. I have to say it was a bit overwhelming because there were quite a lot of people, but it was really nice to have a chat with one another. In the end, they were all pretty great :)

And that leaves us to today. I went to College for the first time today... I was quite scared but I actually had nothing to worry about! Except that college bus... damn. This morning I walked to the bus stop together with Courtney (next door neighbour going to the same college) and we were perfectly on time (Surprise surprise). The bus should have been there at  8:22. It was not. After ten minutes I got so worried. But just after I spent money texting my hostmum about the delay, it arrived. Thank you, bus, thank you.

At College, it was pretty great. I met great people and they have great facilities, everything is just great! Did I mention it was great? Okay, so there were some minor points like I was not really happy about what I achieved today, but my supervisor said it was normal because it is all new to me. So I'm not worried (yet).

I guess there will be some struggles in the future at school and at home, with friends and with others. But for now, I'm good :)

Kisses and hugs, warm tea in big mugs! XXX

your dearest, Meike/Maggie
